The purpose of this template is for numbering the days of the month once the first crescent moon is sighted. This begins the first day of the month and day one of the first week. A month can be either 29 or 30 days long depending on the duration of the "New Moon" or more correctly the renewed moon period. Notice the week is based on the lunar week as prescribed in the Bible versus a solar-Gregorian week adopted in ancient times from pagan Rome, a sun-worshipping society.

Each Biblical day is represented by a box and labeled 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. day. It begins in the evening and ends the following evening. Because of this, the very left of the box begins the first evening and the right of the box ends the second evening of the same Biblical day. A narrow box is provided below each Biblical day for cross reference to the corresponding solar-Gregorian day.
